The Burke Catholic Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team started as a club team in 2005 coached by Coach George Lippi and Coach Walter Miley. The team started out with 15 girls and a 3 game schedule. The following year Coach Lippi moved on to the assistant for the boys program and was replaced by Head Coach Pat Newman. The team went from 15 girls to an incredible 55. The team under the direction of Coach Newman and Coach Miley went 5-10. After that season the Eagles went on to improve their record the following year by one win going 6-9. After the 2006-2007 season Coach Newman went on to coach at Ramapo College leaving the team to Coach Miley. Under Coach Miley's first season the team set many individual records as well as team records but fell short on the goal of making the section title game for the second year in a row finishing the season 5-10.
This year the Eagles hope to improve upon that record and make yet another appearance in the section title game!
